9. Store & Sales Terms
9.1 Free Signup & Store Setup
Signup and store setup are provided free of charge to all farmers and store owners. There are no monthly fees for maintaining a store on Aus Crops.
9.2 Sales Commission
Aus Crops charges a single flat commission of 4.9% of the order subtotal (product value, excluding shipping) on every sale. There are no setup, listing, monthly or hidden fees. Commission is deducted automatically from each order before earnings are credited to the seller’s balance. Aus Crops may change the commission rate with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new rate applies only to orders placed after it takes effect.
9.3 Product Restrictions
Auscrops is licensed only for crop-based products. No animal-based products (including meat, dairy, eggs, etc.) may be listed for sale. Products breaching this rule will be immediately removed, and repeat violations may result in account suspension or closure.
9.4 Product Ownership
All products listed remain the property of the respective farmers and store owners until sold. Aus Crops acts purely as a marketplace facilitator.
9.5 Farmer Responsibilities
Farmers and store owners are responsible for the accuracy of product descriptions, pricing, quality, and fulfillment of sales. Aus Crops accepts no liability for products sold.
9.6 Seller Eligibility & Approval
Selling on Aus Crops is open to farmers, growers, market gardeners, nurseries and small independent stores operating in Australia. Every new store is reviewed and must be approved by Aus Crops before it can sell. We may ask for an ABN, business details or proof of your growing operation, and may decline, suspend or close any store at our discretion, including where we reasonably suspect the account is automated, fraudulent, duplicated or not operated by a real Australian business.
9.7 Accounts
You must be at least 18, provide accurate contact and address details and keep them up to date. One store per business. You are responsible for all activity under your login. Creating accounts with false details, automated registrations or impersonating another business is prohibited and will result in removal.
9.8 Food Safety, Labelling & Compliance
Sellers are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to their products, including state and federal food safety requirements, labelling, weights and measures, biosecurity and quarantine rules (including interstate produce movement restrictions), organic or other certification claims, and GST and tax obligations. Aus Crops does not inspect products and gives no warranty about them.
9.9 Orders, Fulfilment & Refunds
Sellers must fulfil orders as described, within the pickup, delivery or shipping options they have set, and must deal fairly and promptly with customers. Where goods are not supplied, are not as described or are not of acceptable quality, the seller is responsible for the refund or replacement required under the Australian Consumer Law. Aus Crops may refund a customer from the seller’s balance where a seller fails to do so.
9.10 Payouts
Sales proceeds, less the 4.9% commission and any refunds, are credited to the seller’s store balance once an order is completed. Sellers may request a payout to a nominated Australian bank account or PayPal account from their dashboard once the balance reaches the minimum shown there. Aus Crops may hold or offset funds where an order is disputed, refunded or suspected to be fraudulent.
9.11 Prohibited Conduct
Sellers must not: list anything other than crop-based or plant-based products; include contact details or links in listings to take transactions off the platform; post misleading descriptions, prices or origin claims; or use the marketplace to send unsolicited messages. Breaches may result in listings being removed and accounts suspended or closed without notice.
