Pickle Chips
Pickles are a great snack food that’s easy to make at home. They’re also an excellent source of fiber and potassium.
Cut the Cucumber into Strips.
To cut the cucumber into strips, first remove the seeds with a spoon. Then slice off the ends of the cucumber. Next, cut the cucumber lengthwise into thin slices. You should end up with about 12 pieces.
Slice the Cucumber into Rounds.
Now that you have sliced the cucumber, place them in a bowl and cover them with cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes. Drain the cucumber and pat dry with paper towels.
Mix together the Salt, Sugar, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Pepper Flakes, and Paprika.
In a food processor, pulse the garlic until finely chopped. Add the salt mixture and process again. Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl.
Dip the Cucumber Strips into the Spices.
Finally, cut the cucumbers lengthwise into quarters. Using a mandoline slicer, slice each quarter into thin strips. Place the slices in the spice mixture and toss well to coat evenly. Let sit at least 30 minutes before serving.
Place the Cucumber Chips onto a Silpat Mat or Baking Sheet and serve with Ranch Dressing.
