Dill Pickle

Dill Pickles are a popular snack food that originated in India. Served at Indian restaurants, but they’re also available in grocery stores. they were first made by accident when a farmer accidentally left some cucumber seeds on his field.

The word “pickle” comes from the Dutch word piklens meaning “peeled or sliced cucumbers.”
There are two main varieties of pickles: sweet and sour. Sweet pickles are brined with vinegar, sugar, spices, and salt. Sour pickles are typically fermented with lactic acid bacteria.

Pickles served appetizers at parties, but are also an ingredient in other dishes. You can use them to make sandwiches, salads, soups, and even desserts.
