Apple season is in full swing, so now is the perfect time to enjoy fresh fruit. Apples are an excellent source of fiber, vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants. They’re also low in calories and fat.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
This oatmeal recipe includes cinnamon and apple slices. It’s easy to make and will keep you feeling satisfied until lunchtime.

Apple Crisp
Ingredients: 1 cup rolled oats (quick cooking) 2 cups water 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 apple sliced into thin wedges Directions: In a medium saucepan combine oats, water, and brown sugar. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes. Add cinnamon and stir well. Remove from heat and let stand for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve warm with apple slices.

Apple Pie Smoothie
This smoothie recipe combines two of my favorite things – apples and oatmeal. It’s also easy to make and very filling.

Apple Crumble
Ingredients: 1/2 cup rolled oats (quick cooking)
1 apple, peeled and chopped
1 banana
3 cups unsweetened almond milk
Directions: Combine ingredients in blender until smooth. Serve immediately.

Apple Cake
This recipe combines two of my favorite foods – apples and cinnamon. It’s also a quick and easy breakfast option.
