Blood Orange Salad
Blood oranges are in season now, so this recipe will be perfect for enjoying during the warm months. The citrusy flavors pair well with the creamy avocado and crunchy almonds.
Ingredients.
- 1 cup diced blood oranges (or any other type of citrus fruit)
- 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- ½ cup sliced red onion
- ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese Directions.
- Mix together the blood oranges, romaine lettuce, onions, and feta cheese. Serve immediately.
Start by washing the oranges.
Add the blood orange slices to a large bowl. Toss together with the other ingredients. Serve immediately.
Cut them into quarters.
Wash the oranges under cold running water. Remove any seeds. Slice each quarter into thin wedges. Place the wedges in a medium bowl.
